Work: Fieldtrip around Mandaluyong, Makati & Pasig

This was my first taste of field work.  I was excited and we bought snacks, just like a fieldtrip. For our website, we had to film these different cities.  Being the one who's born and bred in Mandaluyong, I was able help lead our team where to go: from those mini streets to well known establishments. It made our trip easier.

For our lunch break, we rewarded ourselves with SNR pizza. We thought we wouldn't be able to get in because we left our cards at home. But we tried and was given a temporary membership card we could use for the day.

We filmed for a bit more then headed to SM Light where we rested for a while before going back to the office.

Etude House's Apricot Stick

I had been using Etude House's Apricot Stick (Lip Care) in #3 for years.  It was really easy to apply on my lips and I love the dainty shade on my lips.  I even influenced my friends and they bought the same shade.

This shade is quite popular, as it's always almost sold out and hard to find in Etude House branches.  But I guess they ordered a lot lately because I've been seeing this always.

This stick has a soft, sweet scent which was good for me because I'm not a fan of lip cares with overpowering scents. This suited me just fine.  It's just that I got quite bored with this that's why I tried a new one. :)

Movie: Home [03312015]

Last Tuesday was the last working day for me during the Holy Week.  One of my officemates invited me over Skype to watch the movie, Home. (They're fans, actually.  They bought mini Oh's through Mcdo's Happy Meals.)

I've heard from someone that this isn't a good movie but wanting to try out the newly opened cinemas, I agreed.

Good thing I went to the office around 8:30am.  That meant, I could leave at 4:30pm.  The movie was at 5pm.  So we had plenty of time.

We went to the mall thinking that it's only gonna be 150php.  But we saw it was only for Cinderella. And we had to pay 202php for it.  My money wasn't enough but good thing I brought my Gcash Mastercard with me!  I was able to pay for my ticket! Woot woot! :D

After buying our tickets, we bought snacks at the supermarket below the cinemas.  Couldn't resist, I bought huge snack packs and also bought a pack of chocolate balls that I knew would go with the saltiness of the chips. Hehe! ^^v

Surprisingly, I enjoyed the movie! It was funny and made me tear up a bit in a few scenes.  It was about family and friendship and social acceptance.  I'm glad I decided to watch it. Thanks to my officemates who invited me! :)

Greenbelt, Makati [03292015]

Today, my officemate and I planned to have our hair spa treatment.  I arrived at our meeting place an hour early but since it was a mall, I roamed around until I saw the store, Daiso.  It me about an hour just to browse two aisles cuz of all the cute and interesting stuff.  My officemate went and met me there.

However, when we got to the salon, it said that it's fully booked already. I left our contact numbers so they could contact us within the day just in case a client cancelled an appointment.

Since watching Cinderella has been part of our plan today, we decided to buy our tickets first. Movie was at 2:45 and we still had exactly two hours left.  We decided to roam around the mall.  We window shopped, looked for bags, and then saw Baskin Robbins!!!

Baskin Robbins had a long line so we roamed around then just kept coming back until we saw the line got shorter.  I was the one who ordered first while my officemate found us a table.  I was amazed at the wide selection of flavors of ice cream.

I decided to ask for a sample of 'Movie Theater(?) Popcorn' flavor.  My eyes prolly got bigger as it really tasted like popcorn.  However, I didn't go with it knowing that I'd be eating popcorn in a few hours.  I wanted to go for a unique flavor and chose Hokey Pokey.

From what I remember, Hokey Pokey is white chocolate with honeycomb crunch and caramel ribbon. Sounds yummy, isn't it? IT IS!!! I couldn't ask for a better flavor.  It suited my mood and the day's feel. I was really happy with my choice.  My officemate's choice is Cookie Dough. I tried it but I'd rather go for another flavor the next time I visit Baskin Robbins.

After finishing our ice cream, we headed back to the cinemas.  My officemate suggested we play at Timezone first to kill time since we still have around 40mins left.  We had free 100php credit if we buy 200php worth of credits.  We played this cool game where we had guns and had to kill enemies.  I had a lot of fun tho I was the one who died first. Hehehe!

We then played this music game where we tap the screen to the beat of the songs.  It was cool cuz they had KPOP songs.  We chose Kara's Step then for the last two stages, we just picked randomly.  We also played another game with guns but it was defective so it was just a wast of money. Bleh.

Before going in, we bough popcorns and drinks.  Then we went inside to watch Cinderella.  I'd have to say it was a GREEAAT movie! Even though I knew how the story would go, I still enjoyed every scene of it! I looooved the dresses.  Not only Cinderella's dress but most especially the stepsisters' dresses.  Two thumbs up for this movie!

We headed to Powerbooks after the movie then we went home.  It was a whole lot of fun but I know there's gonna be part 2 of this because we still have to go avail that hair spa promo at Bioessence. Kkk.

Holy Wednesday

It was a yearly practice for my family and I to go and hear the Holy Wednesday Recollection at Megamall.  This year, we didn't let it pass! One of our favorite priests/speakers is Father Dave Concepcion was there. :)

I didn't go to work for this because I didn't want to start missing this practice. Also, it was a good thing I went to work the previous Saturday. I had an extra day off!! So I chose Holy Wednesday and I'm so grateful to fate. Woohoo :D
