Our Road to Monster Jam Manila 2016

This morning, our boss Skype'd the office she'd give out two tickets to Monster Jam to the first person who'll send her a message. I immediately sent her a private message but didn't receive any replies.

Then when boyfie came, he also sent her a Skype message for the tickets. After a while, he told me our boss said he won the two tickets. I was happy cuz I'd still be able to go but was confused while was the one chosen when clearly I sent a message earlier than him.

I then realized that she (our boss) wasn't able to receive my message as we aren't friends yet on Skype. Hahaha. Now I know.

Anyhoo, we were to pickup the tickets at The Gramercy after work. I started asking looking for ways to get there. But in the end, we decided to just walk. Though it had been quite a distance, we feel that we made the right decision. We enjoyed the sceneries, and the cool air as we walked under Makati's tree-lined sidewalks.

When we got to Gramercy, oh my! It felt quite lavish. We asked for the tickets and the concierge released it to us. We hung-out and took pictures (hey, don't judge :p ) as we weeeere tired from walking, yes tired! And their sofas were comfy.

Their lobby felt like a hotel. Wow.

YEY GOT THE TICKETS! Thanks boss~ :)

And since today's a Friday, we planned to watch a movie. We were hoping we can watch at the nearby Century City Mall, since we've never tried it before. However, when we got to the ticket counter, there was no more seats left for Now You See Me 2

I remember that there was a jeepney line from A, Venue that will pass by Rockwell. We went there instead and found great seats! :) We enjoyed the movie so much ^_^

27th

Hi, I'm 27. I'm not sure if I'm happy with the increase of my age. But one thing's for sure, I'm so grateful for all the blessings God the Father has given me, with the help of Jesus. It's been a year of ups and downs, but I got through everything knowing that my family and loved ones are not only with me but behind me as well. <3 nbsp="" p="">

I'd also like to thank my 26-year old self, for making decisions that helped me advance in all aspects of my life. For her courage in trusting herself and God, and for letting fate do its magic to unfold surprises. Thank you self for taking a risk and not holding back. I've had a good year, thanks to you. :)

Well, I could say that I had one awesome birthday. It was memorable in more ways than one (thank you boyfie and family.)

My birthday fell on a Wednesday but I still went to the office. I'm just not comfortable taking a whole-day leave just because it's my birthday. I did take a half-day leave though because boyfie had plans. :)

After my dismissal, we went to the mall for my birthday date. ^_^ We ate lunch then watched one of my awaited 2016 movies Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. After that, we were both jittery as it would be the first time my dad would meet him.

My parents came to pick us up and thank God, their first meeting went well than expected. To be honest, I was expecting the worst. Especially hearing some of my officemates' insights about our case. But I guess God made a way for them to meet like such.

We then went to Duty Free, and throughout the day, I saw my dad and boyfie interacting more and more. :)

Then we went to Barrio Fiesta to have our yearly family lunch. Yes, boyfie was still with us so he met the rest of my family.

When we got home also, there was a surprise waiting for me—a Baymax partaaay~! I loved the balloons hahahahahaha. They really made me happy ^_^ Thanks Momy, Mama, Daddy! :)

Early birthday gift to myself: SmartBro 888

Last week, our office decided to cut off all personal devices from the office's WiFi. I really can't blame them because the internet should really be for work use only. I thought I wouldn't have any prob with it as I'm a Globe subscriber and the three apps I use if I'm at work are Facebook, Instagram, and Spotify (to help me concentrate writing articles).

Since I'm a Globe prepaid user and registered to GoSurf, my FB and Spotify are supposed to be free. They are, and I don't think I've ever reached Spotify's max bandwidth. However, as the days went by, I found out that Globe's mobile data wasn't dependable as it doesn't reach my station. I couldn't load Facebook and Spotify AT ALL.

Maybe I still have to get used to it but I really was craving for music. Spotify was blocked from our internet and realizing that Globe failed to deliver just got on my nerves. In addition, I needed small breaks from my constant writing and that meant going online on my phone and doing little SNS checks. Without all those, I just couldn't keep up with it.

I've been wanting to have a pocket wifi years ago but I never bought one because I never really needed it and the price was just too much. But I came across an ad saying that SmartBro's pocket WiFi is only Php888 until June 30. I read about it decided to just forget about it.

The other day, I saw my officemate/seatmate Pia enjoying Instagram. Then I learned that she bought SmartBro's pocket WiFi for her family. She said the signal's great in the office, which should be the case because we're just within the vicinity of Smart Tower. Envy flicked on in me so then I started checking my schedule to see when I could possibly buy one.

After one failed attempt to buy last night before going on a movie date with my boyfriend, the moment to buy my own pocket wifi finally came.

Since my boyfriend had to take his lunch at exactly 12 pm and not a minute earlier because he had to go home early, I searched if Smart Tower has its own Smart branch and there is. Pia told me it wouldn't even take half an hour because I'd be heading to the cashier to pay and get my SmartBro at the same time. Since I had enough time before 12 and most of my officemates are already having their lunch (office admin isn't really strict on breaks), I headed across the street.

True to Pia's words, the transaction was fast. In less than 10 minutes, I finally have my own wifi device! I was just so happy I was bouncing on my feet while walking back to Jollibee to buy our lunch. Whew, good thing I saw an officemate in front of the line at the cashier, I was able to buy our food quickly.

When I arrived at the office, I announced to Pia that I was able to buy it and showed my Smart bag to her. We both squealed in glee and laughed like silly fangirls.

I excitedly opened everything up and read the manual, installed the simcard (which has a free 350mb every month for three months) and battery, and turned it on.

The SmartBro pocket wifi kit includes: wifi device, usb cable, battery, simcard, warranty card, and manual

I turned it on, connected to it, and oggled when my phone connected to the internet! Immediately, all of my messages and updates appeared on the screen. Pia then helped me with setting it up and securing a password. And in just a few minutes, voila! I can finally declare I have my oooooooooooown and I'm not living under a rock anymore!!

I'm just so happy I've been smiling too much. To ease off the guilt of splurging, I told myself that this is a birthday gift to myself, since I bought it at the first day of my birth month. Heehee~! ^_^

Regus Tour in Makati City

Even though I'm a MyProperty.ph employee, there are times when we share manpower with Lamudi. Today, I was tapped to help Pia with their event for bloggers in partnership with Regus, a worldwide company that's providing people with world-class office facilities for rent. They have numerous branches across the country, and most of them are located in business district centers and prime areas.

When I learned that I'd be joining their tour for the day, I got excited but got worried as well because my attire for the day was just my usual getup and I don't think it was suited for what I was about to do and go. They only told me on this morning, when I was already in the office. I tried wearing a blazer, but people told me it doesn't suit my whole outfit. So I just had to grit my teeth and go on for the day.

Our first stop was at the Enterprise Building with the Regus branch on the 28th floor. We were led to a meeting room, where the bloggers could get to meet the people behind Regus and Lamudi. My officemates set-up the meeting room, while I took care of the registration area outside.

The Enterprise branch takes up the whole floor. It has a very pleasant ambiance, with huge windows open, letting the natural light in.

Bloggers streaming out of the meeting room and yey we're headed for the tour!

I was really hyped up for the afternoon. Imagine the spurtof my excitement when the nostalgia of going on a fieldtrip hit me. ^_^

Yeah, yeah, yeah! Field trip time~! :)

Our second stop was at the 27th floor of the BPI Center. The Regus branch seemed like a spa, with their earthy elements, design, and lighting.

The third and last stop was at 8 Rockwell at the Rockwell Complex. It is quite a new building and they have a strict access, providing a tightly secured office. One would need a floor keycard, an access card that can only give you access to your office's floor.

Time to say goodbye

Bye bloggers~!

The event ended around 6PM. I had a lot of fun and it turned out my attire didn't matter. Haha. Some of the bloggers wore casual clothes as well so I was able to blend-in. It was a lot of fun touring around the city despite the weather, and the guests were fun to be with.

To be honest, I envied those who won memberships to Regus. I think it would be great to be able to work in a place as convenient and peaceful as Regus, with everything you need just a few steps away. I'm sure they'd be able to use it wherever, as Regus has lots of branches not only nationwide, but also worldwide...and counting.
