I met up with her and her hubby, Kuya A at SM Megamall. I thought they were the only ones who would be with me but then we also met up with their siblings (yep, both sides) and cousins at the mall. We were a big bunch.
Ate M's grabcar driver friend picked us up from Megamall and the ride itself to Punchline was already a fun experience. The grabcar friend was a goofball. Since it was already nighttime (and raining), he put on the loud music and turned his car into a mini disco area. Kuya A who was sitting at the passenger seat took out his flashlight and spun it around just like the spinning lights on the dance floor.
On the way, we grabbed dinner from a McDo drive-thru. We arrived at Punchline shortly after 8PM. I guess I really had no idea what I was getting myself into because I was kinda shocked when I saw the price of the ticket. But I just shrugged and paid, thinking that since it was an anniversary celebration, it would be worth it.
We found a good spot, about three rows from the front. We ordered snacks, nachos and chocolate smoothie for me so that we're full while waiting for the show to start.
I couldn't remember what time the show started but the opening act was a band. Then Chokoleit appeared decked as Ms. Universe Philippines, Mary Jean Lastimosa. The rest of the night, the comedians acted as Kris Aquino, Boy Abunda, local and international stars. It was funny (and green) and the place was jam packed.
We spotted actor Rainier Castillo and an EB Babe dancer among the audience.
We had a good laugh though I'm glad none from our group was called onto the stage. We left past 3am and there were still a few left to enjoy the night.
