Work Shoot

So yesterday, I went to work without knowing that I would get filmed for our company's infomercial.  But I felt like I did okay.  Hopefully, I looked good! Haha. Can't wait to see the final output.

Early Out!

WOOHOO!

I'M HOOOOOME THIS EARLYYY!!

It's time for a celebration! °˖✧◝(⁰▿⁰)◜✧˖°
Earlier this morning, our boss told us that if we went to work at 8am, we could go home as early as 4pm instead of the usual 6:30pm!!

We all rejoiced and those who went to work at 6:30am went home around 2pm with big smiles on their faces.  And because of the news, there was this festive buzz felt around the office.

Technically, I could go home around 4pm but I got hungry so my officemates and I ate at McDonalds.  I left the office at 5pm so the sun was still out and it was a refreshing feeling instead of darkness welcoming me out of the office.

I hope this kind of schedule continues.  Please and thank You, God!

New phone: Samsung Galaxy A5

Yey! I finally got a new phone.  I've been a Samsung user for years now.  My last phone, s3, started acting up even though I just got that only a little bit over year now.  But then its camera started messing up moments that should've been immortalized forever.  So I started to look for a new phone.

My options were s4, s5 e7 and a5. After reading and watching reviews and check it out on the market and considering the prices,  I decided to go with A5.

I hope I won't regret this phone. It has such a timely arrival. The only problem is, Globe doesn't have a stock yet for my sim to be converted into a nanosim.  I have to wait for two weeks but I already bought a nano sim with a different phone number to be able to test my phone.

I CAN'T WAIT TO FULLY USE IT!
PRAISE GOD! :)

CFC: Singles for Christ - Christian Life Program (Pre Talk 1)

"You may invite your friends, bestfriends, relatives, officemates, katropa, kaberks, kapitbahay, tambay sa kanto, kasamang magemote, kakiligan, kaselfie, ung crush mo o crush ka, kabarkada ng kabarkada mo, kasabay lagi sa fx pag pasok, kachurchmate at kahit kacoffeemate pa!"

Today was the day!

I was appointed as a facilitator for new participants.  I was nervous at first but then I knew deep inside that I am excited to serve the Lord and to spread his good news. I was actually waiting for the core team to tap me so I was psyched and honoured when they did! :)

As THE DAY (today) came closer, I was getting more and more nervous.  I had doubts about myself even though I know that the Holy Spirit is with me.

Earlier this afternoon, I received a call from my household head and she was asking if I received her text message asking me if I could be the sharer after Talk 1.  I ignored the text message, thinking it was a group message. I said I did receive the message. but NOOOOOO. I didn't think I could do it.

I asked if she could ask my other household sister instead but they said it was me they wanted to speak but she would also ask that sister after our call.  Right after she ended our call, I started thinking about why God is good and how He showed His goodness to me.  In no time, I was listing down blessings after blessings that I have received from Him.

It was quite funny as my officemates noticed that I was restless and couldn't keep still and they also heard me telling my household head that I would just stutter and prolly mess up my sharing.  They gave me motivation, cheered for me and told me I could do it.  They boosted my confidence!  My officemate also sent me a picture of my bias in Infinite, Woohyun. I was so touched because she actually searched for a good picture of my bias even though she isn't a kpop fan. :D I was happy too cuz I rarely think Woohyun is photogenic but that particular picture made my jaw drop because of his handsomeness :">

While I was writing, an officemate whom I just found out belongs to SFC too, came to me and gave me two great hugs and said I'll be fine and she'll pray for me. I was teary-eyed because I didn't expect it from her.  I could feel her sincerity and I felt God's love for me through her. So I also want to thank her because she had been a great blessing to me at that moment.

I then sent a message to my household head telling her that I do accept the challenge and I would give a sharing about God's goodness. :) I felt nervous yet happy and excited to share the good news. :)

Nail Polish: Sally Hansen's Hard as Nails: XTreme Wear in Rockstar Pink

My Mom who also cooks for me also does my nails every so often.  Last week, I suddenly had the urge to have my nails painted.  I remember my very dear friend gave me lots of nail polishes.

I took them all out and decided to choose which color I would try next.  Out of all those, I had only tried one and used that during New Year's Eve.  This time, I chose Sally Hansen HARD as NAILS: Xtreme Wear in Rockstar Pink.  And I'm so happy I did!!!

Just looking at how pretty the glitters are already makes me happy. I'm so thankful to my friend who gave this to me. I feel like I'm back to my childhood whenever I look at my hands. :) It's like fireworks painted on may nails.

THANK YOU :*

Shakey's March 16 Promo

When my office mate and I ate at Shakey's last week, we saw their ad.  A pizza would only cost 40 php on March 16 for supercard holders.  We smiled at each other and instantly knew where we would have our lunch the following week.

Today, we almost forgot but still remembered (yey).  Another office mate also has her card so we bought three pizzas. Two 40php-pizzas (the left one) and one thick crust Hawaiian.  My office mate who I ate with last week and I shared the Hawaiian Pizza.  The other office mate had the 40php pizza all to herself.  Then she brought home the other 40php pizza.

It was a fun lunch.  I had three slices of Hawaiian.  I thought I would still be hungry but no, I was quite full until it was time to eat snacks. ^^

Breakfast: Mcdo's Pancakes

Ever since I was a student, there wasn't any day that I went out of the house without eating breakfast.  Either my grandma or my mom would have my food ready while I prepare.  This still happens up to this day but it's always my Mom who would make my breakfast now.

Today, I ate breakfast at home (rice and viand) but everyday here in the office, I still eat something (usually, light biscuits or crackers) just so I'm sure wouldn't feel hungry before lunch time and also to bond with my office mates in the pantry.

As usual, office mates bought there breakfast at McDonald's.  I went along just for the morning walk.  But when I got there and learned that they were ordering 2pcs of pancakes, I asked if they could order 3pcs instead and I would just pay for the difference.  They agreed and I was so happy.  I've been meaning to try their pancakes but I hadn't had the chance to.

I ate it and it was indeed yummy.  It was soft and the maple syrup was really tasty.  Now I know why they keep coming back for it.  I think next week, I'll skip breakfast at home and just buy this instead. :)

Etude House's Sugar Tint Balm

My friends know that for my lips, I prefer balms instead of lipsticks.  I've used Etude's Apricot lip care stick (#7) for a couple of years though I'm not actually sure if it is a lip balm.  However, last year, I felt a little bit adventurous so I wanted to buy a lipstick.  I bought one from Bench's Paint Box Wonder Woman with a shade named TOUGH.  I thought it was appropriate to buy it since it's quite cheap so just in case I wouldn't be happy with its shade (I don't use shops' testers for body products except perfumes), I didn't waste a chunk of money.

That's what I've been using until today.  Lately, I've gotten bored with my lipstick and I wanted a deeper shade.  So I decided to look for one.  Etude is my go-to shop for my body products.  I love their fun packaging and of course, it's Korean endorsed by K-idols that I like.

Today, I went to Etude hoping to find a lip balm.  I checked their website and I decided I could go with the balms that are in small tin cans.  But when I got there, I was surprised to see a lip balm and it's tinted!

I saw three shades.  Since I wanted to go bolder, I chose the red one.  The lady who assisted me had it on and I like how it's really like a lipstick and yet it's a balm.  I learned it's 498 php, definitely more expensive than Apricot (198 php), so I thought I would walk around the mall to think about it.

In the end, I decided to buy it.  I went back and happily bought it.  I tried it on when I got home.  The shade looks good on me, I think. LOL. It was easy to apply and it stayed on even though I ate bread and drank water.  It also has a sweet scent, too. So I can't wait to use it tomorrow to work.

Hooray! MISSION ACCOMPLISHED! (=^-ω-^=)

Adventure to Eastwood [03142015]

Saturday morning, my Aunt sent me a text message inviting us to a her partner's surprise birthday party at Eastwood, Libis at 6pm the same day.  I sent my confirmation, thinking that it's easy to commute to Eastwood from UP Diliman, where I am having my Japanese Language classes every Saturday.

I have commuted to Eastwood but from Mandaluyong.  I rode jeep going to IPI (Ortigas Extension) then transferred to another jeep going to Cubao as it would pass by Eastwood.  However, this time, I would be from another side of Quezon City.

So after our class, I asked friends and my classmates if they knew how to get to Eastwood. A classmate suggested I take a Katipunan jeep because she said Eastwood is at the end of Katipunan. But she didn't know what transportation I should take next.  I didn't want to take the risk because I didn't want to be forced to take a cab by myself if ever there was a dead end.

So I decided to go to Trinoma instead, hoping that there's a UV going to Eastwood.  Once I got there, I asked the guard and he suggested I check their UV terminal.

It was already nearing 3pm so I had to hurry.  I bought a (super cute!) Rosary first (because I left mine at home) then headed to the Chapel to pray the Chaplet of the Divine Mercy.  Then went to Landmark's food court, bought a chocolate chip muffin from Dunkin' Donuts that I havent't eaten in years, borrowed a plate from KFC and enjoyed the live band that was playing ratpack songs.

I asked a few staff members about commuting to Eastwood and they all suggested I to Cubao then take a jeepney to Eastwood. Even so, I still hoped there's a UV so I went to their UV terminal.  Alas! I saw a sign that said MONTALBAN/EASTWOOD.  I asked about the fare before entering the UV and the conductor asked if I was headed to Eastwood, Libis.  I said yes then he shook his head.  This was going to Montalban/Eastwood (apparently, there's Eastwood in Montalban?) The lady behind me pointed the sign that said EASTWOOD, LIBIS but the conductor said there aren't any UV's that actually go to Eastwood, Libis.  I said thanks but checked out the sign instead.

I asked the guys that were standing and they all said I should just go to Cubao.  With one last try, I crossed the bridge and went to SM North EDSA's terminal but to no avail.  Again, the guys said I should go to Cubao.

I went back to Trinoma and rented a computer.  I felt like I was in The Amazing Race.  I got my backpack and I was sweating and hurrying up because I wanted to get to Eastwood before the sun sets.

I learned that there are UV's from Quezon Avenue but upon further reading, I found out that those UV's are only available in the morning.  I did a quick check of my social media accounts then logged off. I figured going to Cubao was the best option.  I didn't want to go all the way to Shaw then take the two jeeps.

I rode the MRT to Cubao and walked to Gateway then I asked people and guards and they said I would find the jeepneys going to Eastwood at Save More.  One guard said, "Ma'am, there are four kinds of jeepneys that pass by Save More.  Only ride a jeep that has ROSARIO, PASIG.  Don't forget, Ma'am ah! ROSARIO, PASIG.  Just the jeep with ROSARIO, PASIG!"  I kind of laughed and thanked him for the information.

I walked and asked random people where Save More was until I saw it.  I also saw jeepneys and found one with the Rosario, Pasig sign waiting for people to ride.  I asked the driver if it would pass by Eastwood and he nodded.  I rode in front (yeeeey!) so I could see where I was going.  I just thought that if somebody would sit beside me, I would go down first and let him/her in.  But the one that sat beside me was a guy who looked kind so I didn't bother exchanging places with him.  It was a good thing, too because he got all the sunlight. Hehehe!

There wasn't any traffic and pretty soon I saw the familiar buildings of Eastwood.  The ride was really short, maybe around 6 to 10 minutes.  And the fare was 10php, too!  I was dropped off at the overpass.  I just crossed it and voila! I was already inside the Eastwood Compound.  I was really happy about making the right decision. It was only 5:20pm.

I looked for the venue first and enjoyed the cool, relaxing but fun ambiance of Eastwood.  I saw The Palazzo then went to Eastwood Mall to do some errands.  Then walked back to The Palazzo where I suddenly saw my Aunt and niece and they told me where the party was.  I nodded and they went back to their condo unit to dress up.

And that was the end! The party and the food were awesome.  It was fun talking with my cousins and relatives.  Going home, I rode in my Uncle's car and they dropped me off at home. YEEEY! :D

Dessert: Double Stuf Oreo with Peanut Butter

It's been years since I last ate a piece of Oreo, let alone a Double Stuf one.  So I agreed when my two officemates asked if we could buy a pack of Double Stuf Oreos and we would divide the amount into three.

I stopped eating oreos because it's too sweet for me and it's a bit pricey.  Apparently, it's still as sweet as I remembered.

I told myself I would only eat 2pcs max but I found myself getting one after another in between working.

Then after lunch, I thought of having it as a dessert.  An officemate suggested I try to eat it with peanut butter like how she does.  She said it's really yummy and she offered her stock of bottled peanut butter.

I scooped a dollop of peanut butter using the cookie itself and tasted it.  I agree with her, it was a fun treat to eat! With the smoothness of the peanut butter mixing with crumbs of the Oreo, I wanted to ask for more but it would already be too much sweetness for me.

Nevertheless, I was happy I got to eat it like the twins from Parent Trap! :)

Day 1

Hey, there!

I'm Niv and I used to own a blog on Multiply. Too bad that after Multiply.com got wiped out, my interest in writing has been wiped out too.
But I've been meaning to create a new one for a few reasons:

  1. I need a place where I can store memories.  I believe each of my days are valuable and memorable.  Memories to be kept meant not be always special.  Just anything that makes me happy, I wish to keep it here.
  1. I need a place to post my photos. Though I know there's Facebook for that. But I don't really feel comfortable posting everything about my life knowing that hundreds of people close to me would be notified immediately.  This blog is only for me and maybe a few friends but I still have to think about that.
  1. I miss writing.  I used to write about my days all the time and I was sad that my outlet had been taken away from me. Maybe I was bitter to the point that I never started a new blog. But now I know I want to write...again.
  1. I want to gather my thoughts.  Lately, I felt like my thoughts are all over the place.  It could be because I'm too busy, doing things and thinking about things and trying to sort everything out.  So this could be helpful for me.
  1. I want to have something to look at or to look back at... for those moments that made me feel happy, excited, or any positive emotion I could associate with.  I plan to keep this blog full of happy memories only. But that could change too, as I might need an outlet someday to vent our my rants. Hopefully, that won't be the case.  But just in case, you've been warned. :)

That's about it, I think.

I can't wait to update this always. I'll prolly start posting events that took place, recently.  I can't wait to go home to start doing this.

Follow the days with me, yeah?

Thanks! :)
